Long
Distance Homeopathic Treatment
Via Skype or Telephone |
Homeopathic treatment can be successfully conducted via Skype or
telephone. If you are not familiar with Skype, it is a high speed
internet-based video conferencing tool. As of this writing, Skype
is free and can be accessed at skype.com.
In order to use Skype, you must have either a built-in webcam on your
computer or you must purchase a low or moderately priced webcam. The
cost generally ranges from $35-$70 depending on quality. In addition,
Skype also requires high-speed internet service. Once your Skype account
is set up, both parties can see and talk to each other almost as if
in the same room. The audio and video quality of Skype is typically
very good and can approximate a regular in-office visit.
Conducting homeopathy by telephone is also a workable solution. Skype
tends to be a better choice for the treatment of young children, particularly
those with autistic issues or who are not so articulate. The visual
cues can be helpful in finding a more precise prescription. Homeopathy
can be conducted by telephone or Skype successfully because of the
nature of the homeopathic consultation. Most of the needed information
to find a good prescription and provide patient management is done
through conversation.
If you’re wondering why it should be necessary to conduct homeopathic
consultations over the phone or with Skype, it is because there is
a shortage of qualified homeopaths available. In my seven years of
experience of doing long-distance phone homeopathy, the success approximates
what I see with local in-office patients. The success rate with children
is often better with the use of Skype. Thanks to the telephone and
the internet, it is now possible for families to get good homeopathic
care even though they don’t have a local homeopath.
